Hall Industries provides Finite Element Analysis services for manufacturers and design houses looking for a quick straightforward stress, displacement, or modal analysis of their design by experienced design engineers. We are able to provide this service at a reasonable cost because of our investment in analysis (ALGOR FEA) and solid modeling tools (PRO/E and Autodesk products), and because of our practical experience in applying the tools as an integral part of our own product design & development process.

For our recent clean sheet design of a maglev chassis we performed linear static stress analysis on the primary structural element to prove that design met very stringent displacement requirements as required by the magnetic levitation system. In addition, we performed a modal analysis of the assembled chassis to prove that there was no frequency coupling between the chassis and guideway.

Process/Success:
1. Evaluate your design, in context, to determine correct constraints and loadings for the type of analysis being performed. We can handle individual components or assemblies, performing linear and non-linear static stress analysis as well as modal analysis and dynamic event simulation.

2. A description of the analysis to be performed is documented and submitted for your approval, along with a cost estimate (range), before the analysis is performed.

3. Actual charges are on a time and material basis; as such we utilize automatic documentation generation, multi-loading analysis, and other tools to minimize cost and provide maximum value.

4. The final deliverable is a report documenting the analysis, including loadings, constraints, meshing information, as well as interpretation of the results and a brief recommendation.

5. If the analysis shows a serious deficiency, or you would like enhancements, our experienced mechanical engineers can work with your product development team to enhance your design.
