Testing Examples
 Maglev Chassis load testing; results compared to FEA. Measured displacements
matched the FEA.
 Bridge bearings are tested in 750 ton press. Tests include a friction
test @ 100% of the load rating and a rotation test @ 150% of
the load.
 AMTRAK door operator booster environmental and reliability testing. Proved –30oF
frozen break-away and >1 million cycles reliability.
Maglev friction brake testing; left and right brake forces, deployment time,
overall force generated, and surface finish effects.
